Dutch Special Forces Soldier Dies After Being Shot Outside Indianapolis Hotel
Three Dutch commandos who were in the United States for training exercises were injured in a shooting outside their Indianapolis hotel on Friday, one of them has now died from his injuries.
The Dutch Defence Ministry said on Monday that one of their special forces soldiers who was shot outside his hotel in the city of Indianapolis in the United States has died of his injuries.
The other two men who were wounded during the incident are said to be stable in hospital.
FOX 59 were told by an Indianapolis Metropolitan police officer that they believed an altercation had taken place earlier away from the Hampton Inn in downtown Indianapolis.
He said: "Right now the information we're willing to disclose is that it was not something that occurred inside the hotel. "It was a previous altercation we believe at another location. It did not happen inside the Hampton, the actual occurrence was outside."
No arrests have been made.
When asked if any US military personnel were involved in the incident, the IMPD refused to comment as the investigation was ongoing.
