British Woman, 64, Stabbed To Death In Costa Blanca Apartment As Husband, 69, Arrested
A 64-year-old British woman has died after allegedly being stabbed to death by her 69-year-old husband in Orihuela Costa, Costa Blanca, Spain. The husband was detained by police after reportedly attempting to flee the scene.

The victim was found dead inside her home in Orihuela Costa, south of Alicante, at around 4am this morning after suffering serious stab wounds.
Police said that the woman's 69-year-old husband, who is also believed to be British, was detained while he attempted to flee the scene.
The suspected domestic murderer is currently in hospital under police guard while being treated for a knife wound to the stomach. It is not yet clear how the husband suffered the injury.
Police attended the scene after a concerned neighbour raised the alarm at around 3.50am. Officers discovered the woman's body shortly after they arrived and proceeded to arrest the man.
Local media claim the unnamed suspect had been accused of domestic violence in 2019, two years after the couple moved to Spain.
According to the reports, his wife refused to press charges and the case was dropped.
