The National Crime Agency have confirmed that Richard Wakeling from Brentford in Essex is still on the run after absconding before his 12-week trial began in 2018 where he was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment.

Wakeling, who walks with a prosthetic leg needs regular medical treatment, the National Crime Agency are aware of this and puts an even bigger dampener on their ongoing so far unsuccessful search effort.

There appears to be very little knowledge of his potential whereabouts still to this day in 2021.

The last known sightings of Wakeling stem back to some CCTV footage that The National Crime Agency released back in 2019 of him appearing to leave his own house, in his own car which was a white Audi that was returned to his family home around a week later. Since 2019 there appears to have been no further information about where he could be, The National Crime Agency has only since commented to confirm they are aware he was family in Ireland, Thailand and Canada, and made a brief comment to say that anyone harbouring him or protecting him in any way could potentially be arrested themselves.
